  • In Dubai, rent hikes are expressly governed under Law No. (43) of 2013.

Rights of Tenants:

Although Dubai offers a luxurious lifestyle with world class amenities, there are still some things that you should consider which save your efforts and time. One of them is for you to know the rights of tenants if you are a landlord. If you dont, itay lead to a conflict between you and tenant.

Maintenance and repairing

As a landlord, you should know that you are responsible for all the maintenance and repairing cost of a property when your tenant is renting it. Don’t make the mistake of arguing with him and not spend money on it.

Although, it does vary from contact to contact because if your agreement includes this statement, you will have to pay for it. If it’s not there and your tenant asks you that I need these costs for some repairs, you should politely tell him about the contract and help him being on the good side.

Evacuating the property before the end of contract

As a landlord, your tenant can always evacuate the property before the end of the contract with a one month prior notice but keep in mind that it gives a legal right to you to take the rent till the contract ends and any rent will also not be refunded.

You should check the time limit of the contract before promising the deal. If your tenant will have to evacuate before and the fact can’t be changed, then you can adjust the time limit so you increase your reputation and rank in front of the person.
